Bringing up children can be both challenging and rewarding with times that you could do with something to help to make things easier. I believe that parents do the very best they can with the resources that they have and influences for their own upbringings. Most of us would like to improve the way we feel at times and the impact of stress can make us feel more agitated, uptight and less tolerant. If we’re stressed then we often pass that stress onto our children too and they naturally learn to copy that behaviour. There may seem so little time to relax and unwind after a busy and hectic day yet there are little resources out there to help us to feel a sense of empowerment and mastery over how we feel, UNTIL the discovery of EFT. This technique can change how you’re feeling quickly and easily so that you can feel calmer and much more centred so that you are not over reacting or becoming increasingly more stressed . Once you have learnt how to use this technique it can be also used to teach to your children. Very briefly it works by tapping with your fingertips onto your energy meridians, similar to acupuncture for the emotions (but without the needles) balancing the energy system and often alleviating related physical symptoms too. As soon as you feel a strong emotion inside, the tapping begins with just saying aloud the emotion whilst tapping on the specific meridian points until a feeling of emotional peace and calm are restored and the body’s energy system has been rebalanced. I have published some story books aimed to teach younger children the tapping points so that they can tap along with the characters in the book which helps them learn Eft in a fun introductory way.
